The Duchess of Cambridge says she "can't believe" how quickly Prince George is growing up during a visit to a health and development centre for children and young people.

Kate visited Family Nurse Partnership Sunshine House in London - a voluntary home visiting programme for first-time parents aged 24 and under - this morning to learn more about the Early Years sector.

Dressed in smart black trousers and a black and white polka dot blouse, she chatted with staff, parents and children who work and use the fantastic programme.

During the visit, which was embargoed until her arrival , she reflected on the speed children grow up at.

One of the people she met revealed: "She said children grow up so quickly and she can’t believe that George is six already."

As Kate arrived at the centre she chatted to staff who gathered to greet her, asking about their roles within the organisation, before heading inside to look around.

She then had the chance to meet some of the centre's youngest members.

The FNP partners new parents with a specially trained family nurse who visits them regularly, from early pregnancy until their child is two.

It supports young mums to have a healthy pregnancy, improve their child's health and development, and reach their goals and aspirations.

We last saw Kate when she joined baking legend Mary Berry to open a garden she helped design at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey last week.

The Duchess, 37, was pictured in a fitting floral blue and pink Emilia Wickstead dress as she played with and showed the first children around their new play area.

Kate's latest creation is designed to allow children to explore and play in nature.

It features trampolines surrounded by trees, two tree houses, linked via a walkway with slides, and a living willow pod.

In her speech at the opening, Kate said: "As a parent, I have learnt just how important it is to foster our children’s development, in all areas, not just physical, as soon as they are born.

"We build the blocks, the foundations, for future success and happiness later in their lives."

The Duchess was also given sweets for Prince George by youngsters at the garden.

After accepting the adorable gift, Kate told the children "He'll love them".
