Leading Recruitment and Workforce Solutions provider NRL are delighted to be expanding their expertise across the Teesside region – in response to the exciting major regeneration of the area, focused primarily around the clean energy transition.

The move, follows NRL’s continued success supporting large-scale transformation projects across the North East, including the Tees Renewable Energy Plant in Middlesbrough.

In 1990, the business chose the North East for its first office outside its North West base. Initially setting up a regional branch in Washington, before expanding into larger presences in Sunderland as the North East client base continued to grow.

The impressive regeneration plans for Teesside, prompted NRL's move into the area. With impressive projects such as the freeport status and GE Renewable Energy's Teeswork investment, the regeneration complements NRL's own strategic growth plans.

Across the UK NRL has supported key infrastructure projects to deliver state-of-the-art facilities in these emerging new sectors for several years, including offshore wind farms such as Beatrice Wind Farm and its current partnership with SSE Thermal and Siemens Energy to provide all supplementary labour to build a new low-carbon combined cycle gas turbine on Keadby 2.

This expansion falls in line with the NRL Group’s wider strategy to support net zero and low carbon energy projects. The NRL Group's CEO David Redmayne said,

“We’re delighted to be expanding our North East focus to Teesside, having supported local projects for several years through our UK-wide recruitment expertise. The team's local knowledge and insight help them to build important relationships within the local business community. This ensures we’re able to help regional engineering and construction companies gain the maximum benefit from the exciting regeneration plans that will be realised over the coming years.”
