ESG

Environmental, social & governance (ESG)

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues are not just checkboxes to be ticked; they represent critical demands and opportunities that will shape the future of businesses and communities. At Taylor Wessing, we are committed to helping you go beyond mere compliance, focusing on building more resilient and sustainable economies for a brighter future.

Our approach involves supporting your ambition. We work with you to identify and manage transition and climate risks on the road to net zero, facilitate sustainable investments, enhance internal governance arrangements, nurture stakeholder relationships, and ensure alignment with national and global standards.

We have considerable experience in this arena and have already helped many of our clients to embed resilient and responsible business practices and approaches to investment, ultimately creating lasting value for both stakeholders and the broader community.

Our dedicated team of lawyers will serve as your trusted partners on your ESG journey. We take an integrated approach, seamlessly incorporating ESG considerations into the legal services we provide, consolidating our expertise to support you in delivering your sustainability objectives.

Legal 1.5 Charter

Legal Charter 1.5 is a high ambition initiative designed to shift thinking, and drive transformational change to mitigate the climate crisis. We developed and signed the Legal Charter 1.5 alongside seven other law firms. The Charter consists of eight core principles and aims to shift thinking and drive transformational change to mitigate the climate crisis. We commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions at the speed and scale necessary to restrict global warming to no more than 1.5°C.
