Improviser, Performer, Transdisciplinary artist

Anouk Neyens is a Belgian improviser. Using sound as her central medium, she seeks interdisciplinary ways to connect with her outside world, ranging from installation art to musical theater, creating meaningful emptiness in an overflowing world. Anouk started playing the saxophone at the age of nine. Inspired by the connecting power of music, she gave solo and chamber music concerts in Belgium and the Netherlands from an early age. In 2021, she completed her master's degree for classical music at the KASK conservatory of Ghent (BE) and Musikhochschule Lübeck (DE). She is currently studying improvisation and audiodesign in the master ‘open creation’ at the Musik Akademie Basel (CH).
