Empirical Microeconomics
At TI, many research fellows do applied work in labour, health, education, family, and development economics. In particular, they focus on effect identification and program evaluation, applying a broad range of microeconometric techniques. The research tries to achieve credible identification of causal effects, often using large administrative datasets or carefully designed and executed randomized experiments.
