Description

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable contractor to carry out is to support maintenance and management of the Data Hub website, to support the data team as necessary in producing and dissemination of strategic information materials on the website, to always ensure smooth functioning of the HIV and AIDS Data Hub website and accessibility, the consultancy firm shall be providing recommendations to achieve incremental improvements across the above listed focus areas. The consultancy firm shall provide and align detailed delivery plan for the rollout of each enhancement based on mutually agreed priority, using the agreed and allocated resource structure
Duration : maximum of 110 working days during Feb to Dec 2023.
1.3.1 Key requirements
• Regularly manage, maintain and improve the functionality of the website, including EMTCT webpage and Malaysia Satellite Hub on a daily basis to ensure smooth access by users through any platforms, devices and operating systems; and ensure the accessibility of the website to low-bandwidth users or slow internet connections, and mobile and tablet platforms.
• Keep the server up at all times to provide users with access to required information when they need it.
• Upload and install security fixes and essential patches as required or at least on monthly basis based on security threats and fine-tune all web features, clean-up errors, inconsistencies, and fix malfunctions and bugs on regular basis and as necessary.
• Coordinate with Web Hosting company to fix any problem related to Web Hosting to ensure a reliable hosting environment and a stable functioning of the Data Hub Website
• Ensure conformation to major web-standards so that the website and its content can easily be indexed by major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.), and is accessible by different browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) and operating systems.
• Provide necessary technical support to improve and optimize current content management system of the website
● Implement technological solution for improving search engine optimization and monitor to maximize website users and build additional traffic
● Ensure that the website is protected and that any chance of data loss is minimized - the required actions include backup of the website and code backups as required and at least once a week to enable full restoration of the website; upload and install security fixes and essential patches as required or at least on monthly basis based on security threats and fine-tune all web features, clean-up errors, inconsistencies, and fix malfunctions and bugs on regular basis and as necessary.
● Provide necessary technical support to improve and optimize current content management system of the website
● Upload all the various categories of the most recent updated data for Asia and the Pacific countries and other strategic information products produced by the Data Hub Data Analysis team and UNAIDS RST AP, and resources and materials supplied by other partners to Data Hub website and Data Hub application as appropriate.
● Design, develop and upload new rotating banners of the homepage and thumbnails of the various resource materials made available on the website, in consultation with the rest of the Data Hub Team.
● Format Data Hub products appropriately to accommodate to online formats such as SkyDrive and assist in formatting data products as requested by Analysis Team.
● Assist in collecting materials from community partners for the ‘Community Voices’ page and uploading them to the web site.
● Assist in maintaining and updating the web site calendar of events, as well as the calendar of events and activities of community partners.
