Interested in more dialectology workshops? Want to learn how to analyse maps after plotting them? Are you interested in learning about the latest methods in dialectology? Are you interested in Chinese languages/ dialects? Come to our workshops then!
Following last semester’s success in introducing the methodologies in dialectology, this semester, we will look at a range of topics, including linguistic reconstruction using dialect data, exploring the transition between traditional dialects and modern dialects as well as touching on the contemporary methods in dialectology. There will also be guest speakers and a special workshop on Chinese dialectology.
