Dylan Thomas’ magical story, ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales’, is the inspiration for a series of activities for you to enjoy in the Dylan Thomas Centre or at home.
Drop in to our family-friendly Learning Space for free ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales’ self-led play! Activities include make a snowflake, create a ‘Child’s Christmas in Wales’ inspired card, creative writing, puppets & games.
Don’t forget to pick up a copy of ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales’ from the gift shop – it makes a perfect gift!

A visit to the museum during the festive period is great fun, with the self-led Christmas Mouse trail, perfect for little heritage hunters!

Seasonal craft making sessions offer the chance to drop in and enjoy the fun creative craft sessions using your imagination and natural found materials.
They are suitable for children aged 3+ (under 10’s must be accompanied by an adult). The sessions are at 11am to 12pm, 12.15pm to 1.15pm and 1.30pm to 2.30pm. These are free (a £3 donation is welcome). Book online.
Winter is the perfect time to cosy up in front of the fire, unwind and enjoy a good book (not that we ever need an excuse!) – and Swansea Libraries have plenty to choose from. Find out more about visiting your local library this winter.
