Pastoral Officer

 

Salary:  Grade 6 Pt 20-25 (min £22,771 – max £26,261)

 

Hours: Full time Mon-Fri 37 hours per week, term time, inset days plus 2 weeks per year. Holidays to be taken during school holiday periods only. Working hours to be agreed at interview.

Contract term: permanent

Responsible to: Pastoral Senior Leader

Qualifications: 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths at Grade C or 4 and above

Closing Date: Wednesday 15th January 2020 at 12 noon

Interviews to be held: week commencing 20th January 2020

Job start: As soon as possible

Overview of Role:

We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Officer to join a supportive and friendly Pastoral Team committed to working with teachers and support staff to develop how students manage their behaviour. You will work under the guidance of the Vice Principal, Senior Pastoral Leader and Head of Year to deliver effective support to individual and groups of students.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a secondary school, supporting students with their behavior, attendance and wellbeing. You will be highly motivated, understanding and have a passion for making a difference and ensuring that student life opportunities are enhanced.
