Health Protection Workforce Development Programme - Jan - March 2022

The Covid pandemic has highlighted the importance of a system wide workforce response to protect and promote health. Demand for health protection skills and knowledge within the Y&H Public health system is high, with many NHS and Local Authorities now increasing the number of staff and volunteers that are actively undertaking health protection at place and within our communities.

This webinar programme has been developed to widen access to a foundation level of skills and knowledge in health protection. The programme has been supported by the UK Health Security Agency Y&H and involves a wide range of partners including: Local Authorities in Y&H, NHSE/I Y&H and The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities Y&H in recognition that health protection is integrated with all the other domains of public health and operates within a partnership of many different organisations that work together to protect and promote health.

Each module has been designed to be bite-sized, between 1.5 and 2 hours to enable flexible access during what remains a period of high demand on the workforce. Recordings and presentations below.
