Roots to Wellbeing

Just 15 minutes spent in nature improves our mental wellbeing*

Roots to Wellbeing is leading green social prescribing service. Join our weekly programme of outdoor nature connection activities in parks for anybody struggling with their mental health, feeling lonely, anxious or isolated.

Roots to Wellbeing runs 6-weekly sessions of seasonal outdoor wellbeing activities in parks that help anybody struggling with their mental health, feeling lonely, anxious, or isolated to access nature.

Each week we guide participants to foster a deeper relationship with nature to support good mental health and wellbeing. Take part in creative, mindful and reflective activities, grounded in evidence, that promote nature and human connection to lift mood, calm the mind and be present.

Activities include:

  • Wildflower and bulb planting
  • Sensory walks
  • Cutting, clearing, pruning and weeding
  • Nature crafts
  • Meditation and grounding

This is a safe and welcoming space for all. We aim to be as inclusive and supportive as possible. Please get in touch if you have questions about any accessibility requirements and if you would rather just come along and watch that’s fine too.
