About this event

Diminished mobility due to the pandemic can feel like just one more negative outcome associated with this unprecedented event in our lifetime; however, there are ways to overcome the isolation that students and teaching staff alike may be feeling right now. And in this time of limited mobility, we can engage effectively in intercultural learning. Virtual exchange, connecting people from different geographic/social groups in dialogue and collaboration through online platforms, can provide opportunities for deep connection and transformative learning when designed well. During this 2 hour session, teaching staff will get a small taste of how intercultural learning can be leveraged through virtual exchange. In this session teaching staff will experience a virtual exchange dialogue and see intercultural activities and assessments modeled. Links to further resources and opportunities will be provided at the end of the session.
