Self-reflection allows students to spend a mindful moment on their learning process, to find ideas and solutions within themselves and to evaluate their path according to their aims. For lecturers, self-reflection on the one hand, can be used as an educational tool for students that helps them to gain deeper understanding of the subject, allows them to meet on a very personal level and fosters the student´s community. On the other hand, it allows lecturers a deeper insight in the diverse learning processes, reveals an immediate feedback and provides a more profound basis for evaluation and grading. In this workshop, we will get to know examples of how self-reflection is used at the Center for Key Competences at the European University Viadrina, Germany, especially for the train-the-trainer education in the peer-learning program.
